Responsibilities:
· Lead a team of Mechanical Designers in mechanical design efforts on various project.
· Plan, organize, co-ordinate and implement projects in timely manner to ensure schedule and requirements are met.
· Must be strong in conceptualize and create solutions for complex design requirements.
· Work closely with Customer and recommend improvements in terms of concept/methods and provide solutions to the present system and layouts.
· Update Design Manager on project progress thru’ formal/informal communications.
· Provide technical guidance, good coaching, and training to mechanical designers.
· Assist in providing inputs on employee performance during appraisal for staff reporting to him.
· Responsible for recommending salary adjustments, initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures for staff reporting to him/her.
· Review and approved all Mechanical requisitions for projects being supervised.
· Participate in Internal and External design review.
· Position includes all Mechanical designs responsibilities for projects being supervised.
· May assist Sale and Application team for concept proposal.
· Adhere to all health, safety rules and company procedures.
· Travel overseas for short assignment, e.g. project discussion, installation, commissioning and training.
· Regional travel is required
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in control systems design, preferable in the industrial automation field
- 8 years experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably in factory automation or system integration environment.
- High proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD systems.
- Team Player with good communication skill.
