Responsibilities:

·          Approve of electrical material requisition.

·          Produces complete controls solutions and electrical design packages based on customer specification

·          Standardized design practices used by the company, design and implements computer, robotics, or PLC programs specific to customer and project requirements.

·          Ensure project is according to schedule and budget.

·          Estimate hours need for a project and responsible to provide the task register.

·          Leading a group of control engineer in a fix team or project model.

·          Review and evaluate new controls related product in order to provide a cost effective and up-to-date control solution

·          Works with team project team member to develop control systems that will enable the machine to perform its intended function safely and reliably.

·          Formulates and produces complete electrical design package which includes detailed schematics, cable routing diagrams, panel layouts, bills of materials, and “materials” task forms, according to the customer’s requirements.

·          Specifies all electrical and controls related hardware and software material purchases.

·          Integrates third party equipment and electronic components into electrical design package.  Examples include serial communications, hardware handshaking, opto isolation, vision systems, motion control products, transducers, and signal conditioners.

·          Verifies that electrical design package is complete, accurate and safe based on sound design practices and accepted standards, and that the I/O lists meet program requirements prior to issue to shop floor.

·          Design programs specific to customer and project requirements, debug and commissions programs on the shop floor during systems integration stage and then on the customers site during installation.

·          Provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify program completeness.

·          Works with customers, project managers, designers and technicians to solve problems in order to provide the customer with a complete functional system.

·          Works with other members of the control systems design department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology.

·          Provides customers with training specific to their current project.  ie:  electrical hardware, machine operation, programming principles, program functionality, and program structure.

·          Prepare electrical documentation as part of project documentation for customer.

·          Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

·          Regional travel is required

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  
• 5-10 years of experience in control systems design in the industrial automation field.
  
• Knowledge in AutoCAD, PLC and industrial PC Controls is an added advantage
  
• Experience in Beckhoff is a must
  
• Team player with good communication skills
  
• Good coaching, supervisory and leadership skills
