Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage the settlement team and provide leadership to all staff
· Planning of the settlement department; roster and delegation of task
· Manage team conflicts so that problems are resolved constructively
· At the same time, must be a hands on person, ensuring accurate trade confirmation/ settlement using in-house systems and following up on trade queries with prompt feedback to counterparties
· Involve in special projects /new releases of various back office systems, adopting a critical approach to ensure smooth and successful implementation
· Review, monitor and reconcile all trade transactions
· Responsible for the preparation of management information and analysis to Senior Management
Requirements
· Degree/ Diploma in Banking /Finance/ Business
· Minimum 7 years relevant working experience in operations /back office of a financial institution, of which at least 4 years are in staff management and supervisory position
· Good knowledge and hands-on experience in banking products especially Derivative products will be an advantage
· Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Responsible, proactive and independent worker with positive attitude
· Able to relate to all levels with good communication (both written & spoken) and interpersonal skills
· Meticulous and Good team player
· Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel/Words and a fast learner on computerized systems.
