Responsibilities
· Able to handle customer enquiries professionally by phones, emails and faxes including walk-in customers
· Investigate customers’ complaints and rectify the problems, by recommending the necessary actions to prevent recurrence
· Recommend products - including cross-referencing, both to our sales team and directly to customers
· Involved in the Technical Verification of returned and replacement products and apply corrective measures and processes
· Liaise with UK Technical Support and/or Products support groups, for replacement and repair requirements
· Set-up and maintenance of workbench equipments for verification and repairs of minor faults
· Translate technical specifications into compelling features and benefits that are easily understood by the targeted customers
· Liaise/support inter-department requirements to increase service level to customers (eg. offer/recommendation of correct products)
· Involvement in Road shows, product demonstrations and presentations, exhibitions and on-site cross-referencing work
Requirements
· Degree / Diploma in Engineering
· Relevant experience in technical support or servicing industry is preferred
· Highly-committed
· Service oriented, meticulous and well organised
· Must be able to multitask and be adaptable to environment
· Ability to work under pressure
· Good written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to troubleshoot and conduct minor repairs
· Good application knowledge in Components and Test & Measurement equipments
